Interfaith Memorial Service for the Homeless

Every year the Columbus Coalition for the Homeless holds an Interfaith Memorial Service for those people who are currently, or who have been, homeless and who lost their lives in that year. This service has two important purposes: To bring together the community to celebrate lives which are otherwise lonely, hard and unacknowledged. And, to raise our awareness that these people actually exist and are our neighbors. The 2016 service is on Wednesday, December 21 (the shortest night of the year) from 6:00 -7:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church (on the SE corner of 3rd and Broad streets) in downtown Columbus. This service is one of many which are held across the nation on this same night and sponsored by the National Coalition for the Homeless. Attached is a flier about this event. I hope you will post and circulate it widely, come to the service, and bring friends and neighbors. I am sure that you will find it an important part of your holiday spiritual journey.  Rev.
