The mission of the UMRA is to be an advocate for the work of Jesus Christ in rural town and country communitites.  The United Methodist Rural Advocates is a United Methodist lay and clergy association that deals directly with issues that relate to small membership churches, rural communities, and local pastors.  Rev. Roger Grace is the president of the UMRA.

Town and Rural Resource Programming

Town and Rural Resource Programming is a consortium of clergy from East and West Ohio Conferences dedicated to providing educational opportunities and ministry enhancement programs to town and country congregations across the state of Ohio. Our mission is to create workshops/academies/trainings that develop stronger leadership in town, country, and rural settings, to create more effective proclamation, nurturing, and outreach for the transformation of the world in Jesus’s name. Trainings are offered to you at a greatly reduced cost,
offset by your apportionment dollars through grants from East and West Ohio Conferences.  For information contact Rev. Jeff Ridenour, jeffridenour [at] outlook.com (.)
