Summer Impact at Hyde Park UMC - Interns, Youth Groups needed Summer Impact groups work alongside nine city ministry partners ministering to children in a camp setting or literacy setting, working alongside contractors as they create affordable housing, alongside a furniture bank distributing furniture to families who have just obtained permanent housing, as well as many other partners and experiences. Last spring a team of clergy from the Capitol Area North District traveled to Cuba to learn about ministry opportunities there. The island sustained damage during Hurricane Irma and they still have not recovered.  UMCOR is not able to render services here, so the Capitol Area North District would like to support several ministries in Cuba for our Christmas mission this year.  Would your church consider adding this to your list of missions for your Christmas off... continue reading
